Aberdeen International Youth Festival presents

Edinburgh Youth Orchestra

The Edinburgh Youth Orchestra (EYO) has been invited to take part in AIYF 2010 in a trio of performances
throughout Scotland including
their first ever visit to Dunfermline

The concerts will feature the internationally-acclaimed soprano Lisa Milne, who recently performed in the Edinburgh International Festival. The Orchestra will be directed by Garry Walker, principal guest conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

EYO are renowned for their collaboration with talent of this calibre, having recently performed in the Aberdeen Music Hall with violinist Nicola Benedetti as well as opening the Aberdeen International Youth Festival in 2007 with cellist Julian Lloyd-Webber.

The programme for the concert is Shostakovich's Festive Overture, Strauss Four Last Songs, Bernstein’s West Side Story Symphonic Dances and Gershwin’s Strike up the Band.

The company will also be performing in Aberdeen & Inverness as part of their tour.
