AUDITIONS
SATURDAY 11 SEPTEMBER, 2010
REGISTRATION 11.30am - 12.30pm
DANCE AUDITIONS 12.30pm - 1.30pm
ENSEMBLE 2pm - 4pm
PRINCIPALS 6pm
Wanted:
• Dancers
• Those wanting to audition to be a dancer in this show will be required to audition with a dancers workshop between 12.30 and 1.30 on the day. Please register during 11.30 and 12.30 prior to audition.
• Please wear suitable clothing and footwear
• Ensemble
• Those wanting to audition to be in the ensemble in this show will be required to demonstrate basic ability in singing, acting & dancing. This will take the form of a short movement workshop held by the Choreographer and a short acting workshop held by the Director, followed by individual singing auditions. These will be accompanied by piano (with sheet music you provide) or acapella, and should be a song of your choice. Preferably something contemporary, however all styles will be considered.
• Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for movement workshop
Principal Roles:
• Baron Hardup (Cinderella's father, put-upon, miserable yet sarcastic, loves his daughter but his two stepdaughters tend to take control, playing age 40+, singing & movement required)
• Prince Charming (Handsome, dashing and charismatic. Playing age 19+. Singing required. Minimal movement.)
• Dandini (The Prince's servant, stuffy official, very dry wit. Slightly older. Playing age 21+ Minimal singing required, poss movement)
• Buttons (Quick-witted comedian, general all round bumbling yet loveable rogue. Playing age 19+. Singing & dancing required)
• Fairy Godmother (Older, gentle, mysterious. Extremely glamorous. Playing age 30+ Singing & dancing required)
All principal audition pieces can be collected on registration between 11.30 and 12.30 on the day of the audition. Principal auditions will begin at 6pm.

Could all auditionees please note that this is an in-house & locally produced pantomime, and we would require strong commitment from any potential cast members. We rehearse ensemble from 6pm to 9pm every Sunday night from Sun 10th Oct. Principals would be required on Monday nights from 7pm to 10pm, rehearsal schedule to be confirmed. Show dates are Sun 19th (Dress/Tech), Mon 20th (Matinee & Evening), Tue 21st (Matinee & Evening) and Wed 22nd (Matinee & Evening) December 2010. There is a strong possibility of shows being added on Tues 28th December 2010 (Matinee & Evening) therefore you must also be available on this date. It is in your best interests to ensure you can commit to rehearsal and shows before auditioning. Thank you

Auditionees should bring with them:
An application form (can be download from the website, or if unable, this can be filled out during registration)
Audition fee of £5
A current headshot or recent picture
Sheet music for any songs you wish to sing
NB: There are no facilities to play backing tracks. If you cannot provide sheet music, you will be asked to sing acapella.
